Lion and Unicorn

Here we are 7pm – yes light! Soooo nice not to be in the dark at this time! We should celebrate with Fish and Chips, of course, at The Lion & Unicorn, Kentish Town.

Happy Friday!

Aspall Cyder Battered Haddock £19.50 – first impression, fish is small!

Compare and contrast – there are discrepancy in size of the fish (attention: visual, subjective)

Fish 7/10 : All piping hot! Yes it was light outside but in fact cold! Munching this juicy fish make us really warm from our stomach. This is how comfort foods should be! Never mind the difference in sizes!

This is so called handcut triple cooked chips – visually “triple cooked” or borderline over cooked?

Chips 6/10 : Hot! Lovely! but ever so slightly overcooked – difficult to achieve “fine triple cooked”.

Mushy peas : no rate – In the menu it was called marrofat mushy peas. – but yet again, same Young’s pub presentation – I repeat, mushy peas are not in the same line of condiments.

Phew overall pass the good mark!

Good night!
