Good evening from the best pub on the South Bank – this is a bold claim by Founder’s Arm. Let’s taste Fish and Chip from the best pub on the South Bank.
Fish : 7/10 Good! Batter gently and thinly covering juicy fish, crunchy and freshly cooked hot deep fried (guilty pleasure!) fish is satisfying my taste buds! Fish flesh could be a bit bigger for £21
Chips : 5/10 Shame! Lukewarm!
Mushy peas : 4/10 Strange! This was hot! microwaved hot. Very strange, luckwarm chips and hot mushy peas.
This is another Youngs pub. However, fish batter was much nicer than my recent visits to other Youngs. So well done for this!
It may have one of the nicer views but I certainly think “the best pub on South Bank” is a bit of overstate.
