Hello Friday! love you, always comes without fail! Let’s celebrate with cheeky pints!
Ah, how did I miss this!!!! After spending £4 on a pint of Amstel,
Ah, Nigel Farage, may I ask… Can I stay in the UK? I am a legal immigrant who is keen to adapt and integrate myself into British culture (i.e., Binge drink followed by fish and chips).
1. Fish : 8/10. Hot crunchy batter with firm fish, cannot find fault to be honest. At the same time I cannot give 10/10, because if I did, it means this is the best of the best, which I is not quite true!
2. Chips : 7/10. I like it and well executed but they were not conventional chips, they were french fries .
3. Peas: 5/10. This was taste exactly same as last week at The Mill Inn. Also, strangely, both called pea puree. It is nice in their own right but something not quite right!
Overall 8/10, good effort and great pricing, will be back Studio 6, probably soon!
Slight sideways again….
I concur. The fish and batter were exceedingly good, but the chips were more French fries and the (white) wine was also less than icy. Great value for money overall though!
PS I’m a big fan of (floured & fried) whitebait too – very delicious as a starter with fresh lemon and thinly sliced brown bread and butter – not featured nearly enough on pub menus which is a pity as its a very cheap (& sustainable) dish.
Keep up the blog Mina – loving your work! xxx
Yey! Studio6 is a funky place, next time we will be testing consistency!
