Good evening, 3 months since my last Fish and Chips – the expectation is getting high! Cannot wait! Here we are the central of the central London, The Admiralty. Sun is shining, beer tastes good!

But but but ….. can you believe it, Fish & Chips £19.95! Add curry sauce for £2.50 – we could pay £22.45!!!! Of course, we didn’t, but nevertheless £19.95!

First impression – small. Facts! in 1960’s, the average dinner plate diameter was 23cm, but by the year 2000 and now, it’s not unusual to find dinner plate diameter of 30cm. I do remember in my previous posts, large plates piling chips and massive flesh of fish – these were good old days, distance memories….

Fish : 6/10 – Yes small piece, nevertheless, thick fresh flesh executed well, cooked though inside, in my mouth some fresh juice matching with crunchy batter – heaven!
Chips : 6/10 – Meagre portion, but chips themselves are tasty – fluffy inside, crunchy outside, not greasy but enough “grease punch” to satisfy our guilty pleasure
Peas: 6/10 Menu reads “crushed minted peas” – these peas were not crushed but whole peas. Does this matter – well, NO, in fact, it felt new – liked minty flavour but normal pea texture.

This plate was 1960’s size, and there still had a lot of space to fill! Still costing us £19.95! Good food but low points for the meagre portion – regressed to 1960s.

Well the star of the show tonight – Happy birthday to our beloved National Gallery – We love YA!!!!
