I thought I have not had a fish and chips for ages – yes the last one was 3 months ago – and we are deep in to 2023! Looking over Thames at the Doggett’s Coat and Badge.
I do not mess about – normal portion £16 is small – experience tells me!

Fish 9/10 Exactly how I remembered, 2 x medium size (ever so slightly smaller side of medium) fish both simple, but well executed crispy batter + juicy thick flesh. Delicious!
Chip 6/10 Again, exactly how I remembered from previous visits. Enough on the plate. Completely satisfactory.
Peas – I cannot recall – no photo to stimulate my memory!
I do remember feeling good impression as this place offers “consistency” which you really expect but so often not given.
Furthermore, I recently received £10 voucher from them! I go often enough to be rewarded! For that, 10/10!
